The Marriage Course: Valentines Dinner

You Are invited to a romantic candlelit dinner date for two, 3 course meal and live music to celebrate your marriage. The evening opens at 7.30 pm on Thursday 11 February 2010 at Trinity Methodist Church building on Monkgate.

The evening, held as part of National Marriage Week, is a relaxing chance to celebrate your marriage and spend some time thinking about ‘What makes a marriage grow?’  During the evening there will be a short taster session of ‘The Marriage Course’ and you will be invited back the following Thursday to start The Marriage Course.

Whether you have a strong relationship, or if you are struggling, whether you have been together 1 or 61 years, The Marriage Course is designed for you, to bring practical and helpful support, suggestions and tools to enable your marriage to continue growing stronger year by year.  Please see below for more details of the course itself, and for how to book the Valentine’s dinner.

The Marriage Course

The Marriage Course is a seven session course set in a fantastic atmosphere.  You will be served with a candlelit meal at a romantic table for 2, then listen to an informative and fun talk.  It is also highly practical with chances to discuss the various issues highlighted over a delicious dessert.

All discussions will be between the two of you as there is never any group work and you will never be asked to share anything about your relationship with anyone other than your partner.

Why Do the Course?
Regular check-ups help a car run smoothly and reduce the risk of breakdown. It is the same with marriage. A strong, loving and lifelong relationship doesn’t happen by chance. It takes effort and dedication to keep the fun and romance alive. Topics covered include communication, resolving conflict, forgiveness, sex and building a friendship.

The valentine dinner costs £20 per couple for the evening.  The Marriage Course is separate from the dinner and costs £50 per couple (including food and course manual) for the 7 sessions.
